After meeting a hairdresser looking for a harmless dye for
his customers' hair,
Eugène Schueller embarked on a
colouring adventure and filed
a patent for his L'Oréal
dye on 14 November 1907.

following prolonged exposure to
the sun,
Eugène Schueller
developed the first filltrant sun
